Our Story
DIF Clothing was founded in Mankato, Minnesota, during one of the most challenging times of my life.
My name is Brian Keel. In high school, I was outgoing, successful in sports, and well-connected. But after graduation, I struggled to find direction. While attending South Central College, I experienced a deep sense of disconnection. I fell into unhealthy habits, withdrew socially, and battled with anxiety and depression.
Throughout that period, one comment stayed with me: “You’re different—in a good way.” At the time, I wasn’t sure what that meant, but it planted a seed. During this low point, I discovered a passion for art and fashion. I began creating and altering my own clothes, and eventually, I set a goal—to build a brand that embraces individuality and turns being “different” into something empowering.
Over the next decade, I worked through personal struggles and found healing through creativity, faith, and self-discovery. DIF Clothing became more than just a brand—it became a reflection of resilience and identity.
Our mission is to create clothing that helps people embrace their differences and see them as strengths.
At DIF, we believe everyone feels different at some point—and that’s exactly what makes you powerful. We hope our clothing offers not just style, but a sense of belonging and self-worth.

Sustainability
Responsible Manufacturing
At DIF, we believe in being responsible and sustainable in everything we do. From our farms to our manufacturing and packaging, we prioritize the planet and the people who live on it. We work hard to ensure that our products are made in a way that is environmentally friendly and socially responsible, so that we can create a better world for future generations.
Manufacturing
We respect people as much as we respect the planet.
Our manufacturing process is designed to minimize waste and reduce our carbon footprint. We use efficient production methods and energy-saving technologies to minimize our impact on the environment. We also prioritize the use of sustainable materials, such as organic cotton and recycled fabrics.

Fabrics
Sustainable and Conscious Materials
At DIF, we believe that the materials we use are just as important as the products we create. That's why we use only sustainable and conscious materials in our clothing. Our fabrics are crafted from recycled and sustainably grown fibers, such as organic cotton and bamboo. We also prioritize the use of low-impact dyes and other eco-friendly practices to minimize our impact on the environment.
